Gears Up for a Spectacular November Comeback”

Rockitwell Studios and MusicArtes, Inc. returns with a redux of its Original Filipino
Musical “Silver Lining” this November 2024.
The new edition “Silver Lining Redux” follows a story of three friends from high school
as they go through their mirthful & youthful days from soirees, bakuran moments and class
parties, inter-school rambols then going to university at UP Diliman during the challenging times of the 70’s until adulthood, have families and with the hopes of fulfilling their lifelong dreams.

Aside from an interesting retro look at the baby boomers and flower power era of the 60’s and
the 70’s, the new edition of the musical evolves with the backdrop of today’s issues and other
developments. Through all these challenges, hope and redemption will arise.

Silver Lining Redux received positive reviews for its 2023 original run and garnered Five (5) Aliw Award Nominations including Best Director, Best Composer, Best Actor, Best Script and Best Musical. Featuring it’s top notch creative team PETA’s Artistic Director, Maribel Legarda as it’s director, head of Rockitwell Studios Jack Teotico as it’s Composer & Lyricist , MusicArtes’ Jay Valencia-Glorioso as co-producer, Nine (9) time Palanca Awardee Joshua Lim So and Liza Magtoto, musical direction by Vince Lim of Walang Aray and seasoned choreographer PJ Rebullida.

The cast features the multi-awarded and veteran actor-director Ricky Davao, who also joined the team as it’s Line Producer alternating with Jamie Wilson, Jake Macapagal, Raul Montesa (original cast of Miss Saigon Germany), Gina Respall (Miss Saigon UK) and Star Magic’s Krystal Brimner and ABS-CBN recording artist Drei Sugay in lead roles. Reprising their roles are Albert Silos, Jay Cortez and Sara Sicam. Raflesia Bravo will take the role of Agnes and Moi Gealogo as Chito. The Millenials will be played by Don Anthony as Rico, Johnie Moran as Mart and Dippy Arceo as Dalai. Completing the cast are the members of the ensemble, Rodel Pingol ll, Nayr De Luna, Sam Marasigan, Misha Fabian and Nadia Tuviera.

and adulthood” News2.abs-cbn.com sees Silver Lining as “ – a reflection on the past and a
glimpse into the challenges of today’s generation” while Julianna Cabilli of Tatler praised its
“rousing musical numbers and stellar performances”. Butch Dalisay of Philstar writes “Silver Lining is for our generation – and our children who may want to understand what their folks went through and why they think the way they do”.

“Silver Lining Redux” is rollin’ with the support from the College of the Holy Spirit
Alumni Foundation, the La Salle Green Hills Alumni Association and the UP School of
Economics Alumni Association among others. It will run for 8 shows from November 8-10 and
15-17 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium at RCBC Plaza in Makati City. Tickets are available at
