The Japanese government has announced a significant change in the Japan visa application process for Filipinos. Starting April 7, 2025, the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) will begin accepting and processing visa applications through VFS.

Starting April 6, 2025, accredited agencies will no longer accept Japan visa applications. Instead, applicants will need to submit their applications through the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC) via VFS.

Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Application Hours:
    – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Parañaque, Makati, Quezon City)
    – Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 NN (Cebu, Davao)
Releasing: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Important Notes:

1. A visa fee and center usage fee (₱520) will be collected.
2. Fees may vary depending on nationality and application.
3. Payments must be made at the time of application.
4. Accredited agencies will no longer accept applications starting April 6, 2025.
5. Diplomatic or official passport applications, or urgent humanitarian cases, should contact the Embassy or nearest Consulate.
